Hi together,

As i wrote in the introduction (other topic), I am selling my dads collection. In a box, I found an Lamborghini Countach LP500S (58005).

My question about it: Does this one look completely original or are there any things, which can't be original?

The thing, which makes me unsure, are the rims. On all other pictures, I found in the internet, the rims are grey. And on this car, they are golden. But they don't look, like they have been painted, they look very original.

Thanks for your help guys... and if some are interested, I will put this one on ebay within the next weeks.

Greetings from Switzerland,

Eddy

Oh nice! For me it's full good new built. Rims have probably been painted in gold. Like todd said, it's gorgeous.

Maybe the servo is a little too young .

I'll inform you, as soon as it is on ebay.

I am pretty sure that the rims are not painted. I could make a scratch test, but I don't want to damage them ;)

I agree with you about the servo. It's far to young. But without a servo, it doesn't look complete and I don't have such an old one.

Just a few insider information: the next weeks/months, there will be more old cars, like an XR311 (58004), Lamborghini Countach LP500S CS (58008), VW Golf CS UNPAINTED (58025), Ford Ranger XLT (58027), Audi Quattro Rally (58036, chassis in good condition, body with scratched colour but without cracks), Lancia Rally (58040),... and a lot more

But i need to push the ebay account. After several years, old ratings don't count anymore. So I have to bring them up, to get fully international listed... and some followers ;)

For the countach, a servo is just a servo. The car is so nice ... and complete if you have the msc. You have a museum collection. Congrats

The gold wheels on the Countach aren’t painted. Tamiya sold them separately.

Nice looking model.

Hi Al,

Thank you for the information. This sounds logic to me, as they really don't seem to be painted.
This would also explain the "street tires" instead of slicks.
