Hi Stingray,

Thank for your hint. According to pictures of them and also according to the manual, the motor mount of holiday buggy and sand rover look different. Have there been different versions during production time?

Hi, that’s the motor mount for the 540 motor.
It came with the Sand Rover kit, but the earlier Holiday Buggy only came with the mount for the 380 motor, which is different to that one.

Hi Al,

Thank you for the information.

On the picture in the parts database, the mount looks different:
tamiyabase.com/...Itemid=775

This makes me confused.

This problem seems to get bigger.

I find more and more such parts. They have a part number like "TU 2413", "TU 5415", "TU 6310", "TU 5912" or "TU 6405".

By luck, I have seen that TU 6405 is "Press Parts Bag" of the Toyota Celica Group B (58064). This bag has also the number 19405341 or X10063.
But I don't know, how to get from the TU number to the other spare parts number.

aren't these just 1:16 tank parts?

are they exactly the same or mirror image?

2 motors next to each other in 1 tank. 2 pieces, spare pars.
could make sense

EDIT... electric car on the package

i found this

Like said above here, it's the 540 motor mount for the Sand Rover and Holiday Buggy.
Only shown in the Sand Rover  manual:
I'm guessing but the "TU"-numbered parts is probably done by Dickie Tamiya, the long time importer of Tamiya to Germany.
TU probably means TUning part as opposed to spare parts

Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.
www.tamiyabase.com was formatted automatically.
