Hi All... Borderline Late-Gen-Xer/Early Millennial here, born Jan.1982.
grew up around my Dad building Model Kits on a regular basis through the 1980's. he discovered a very nice hobby shop in town somewhere between 1987/1989, that stocked TAMIYA Armor kits... and he was off to the races. i recall that by 1990 or so, he must've build a good 10/15 of them... on top of another 15/20 Military Aircraft of all varieties. he let me paint Road Wheels and such on some of them... i i suppose that must've been what got me started myself. into the 1990's, and my Teenhood, i got into Anime Mecha Modeling... GUNDAM, MACROSS, Etc. that hobby has stuck with me ever since... right into Middle Age, and i suppose i've come Full Circle, getting into a touch of TAMIYA Aircraft and Armor, beside my Anime Mecha Mainstay; Attachments:

Welcome to TB Tasuke,
TamiyaBase is focused around Tamiya's RC models, but I, and I'm sure many others here, can relate to your story growing up with Tamiya influence from the family. -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.
