After I logging in I always see my profile page ... I wonder if going back to the welcome screen might be more useful/get more people looking at ads/using the gallery?

Yeah i second that it annoys the badword out of me i log in to comment on a post and it sends me to my profile page so i have to go back to get to where i was originally

Can easily be fixed, but you two are asking for two different things

Option 1 is to return to the Frontpage after login. (or any other preset page, like the Profile Page)
Option 2 is to "stay" on the page you are after login.

Option 2 is what you get if you use the "Facebook Login" (the blue "F" where the login is) Requires that you have a Facebook account and that you follow instructions ate the first TB Facebook login attempt.
The Facebook Login is actually quite neat as it give you a "one click" login.

So, let me know your verdict
