Back in business with this resto of another 3 speed ! This is the last one i had on my "to do list" to have all the vintage 3 speeds on the shelf.
I bought long time ago that chassis with a body in poor state and decided after finishing the Blazer that it was time to keep the pace with this Hi Lux. As you can see, the chassis is complete but an expert eye will notice many screws missing or that non-tamiya ones were used. During the disasembly many other broken or missing parts showed up, such as the wheel hubs missing all the locking mechanism or broken case. Enough writing, lets have a look at the pictures. This is the chassis as i got it Wrong tires were installed, but the seller had the original non cracked ones Oil is leaking from the transmission, what makes me think that the previous owner filled it with oil. Of course all the rubbers are missing on the transmission. The ones on the lubrication holes were glued on it Wrong screws were used to fix the wheel on the hub ! Luckily i ordered enough such screws for my Blazer resto! Proud owner of the Bruiser Family

Everything cleaned up
Once everything cleaned up, the rebuild can start: Front Axle with new bearings As all the parts inside the front hubs were missing i started looking on the net for spare parts and came accross a bashed Hi-Lux in Germany so i couldn't resist Here a few pictures of that Hi Lux. This one will not be restored i will only use it for spares and once this resto finished it will be sold. Proud owner of the Bruiser Family
