I first owned one of these in 1992 at their original release.
over the years I thought about a rere but never bothered getting one, and after checking prices recently I was starting to regret it! I did my occasional search for Tamiya on Facebook marketplace and was surprised to see this one listed in town for £120. I knocked him down to a bargain £90! It’s all original, and in generally excellent condition apart from the paint and decals. The bottom of the rear bumper was cut out a little rough, but I should be able to sort that. pits mainly going to be a shell restore, and will strip and clean the chassis, ball race it if it’s not already, new electrics and a period motor upgrade. Even the wheels are mint, with no rim damage. very pleased I managed to snap this up, and the best coincidence was the seller lived 5 doors from me on the same street! More detailed pictures to come over the weekend… Attachments: |

Very nice find. Tires are from the 306. It looks mint and has its blue shocks.

It was in better condition than I expected. Are the blue shocks unique to it?
It’s been 29 years since I built my last one, so my memory is a bit hazy!

Great find!
I have never been able to get a Tamiya from the same city as me, never mind the same street!
