Update from yesterday ... roof & side panels are all on, I had planned on doing those in thin plywood, but ease of gluing & painting won out. Of course, there is a bit of a weight penalty ...
Outside is not that pretty, but then it's not supposed to be seen ... One panel I've left loose so I can fit a window. I still need to fit some handles & cut + test fit the "glass", then it's on to thinking about the door |

Nicely done JR, looking forward to seeing it painted will you paint the base board a concrete colour or do you have more cunning plans
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

I'm not sure about the floor colour, I'll have to check what poster paints I have ... possibly a light grey or pale green "painted" floor rather than "concrete". As for the garage, I think the size dictates using rattle cans, I'm really thinking primers (white for the panel work, grey for the blockwork & red oxide for the steelwork) & a little in the way of washes/detailing. You might be in for a bit of a wait, it's really not spraying weather here any more. |

I've been working on some lights ...
Chunk hacksawed off 32mm aluminium bar left over from my Lotus Europa wheels: Faced off & 5mm hole drilled through: Lower faced dished: Drilled & counterbored deep enough for a 10mm LED: Turned to more of a cone shape: 1.5mm holes drilled & tapped to M2 to screw support chains on ... TBH I don't like this, I'll be relying on the LED wiring to hold everything up instead. |

Process repeated for two more lights, + LEDs wired in:
Little chance of doing any spraying for a while, so I've temporarily installed all my bits & bobs, + added a few scale posters: Room lights off & LEDs powered up ... they're not a perfect solution, the light is very blue & focused too tightly ... ... and as it's only half a garage (with half the lights) any car going in is not that well lit & needs a bit of fill from outside: |
