Hi, advice / help please.

So this servo came on a chassis I picked up.
The main servo horn needed replacing so I ordered spares and fixed that.
When I’ve plugged it all in, it would only turn in one direction. So I took the top off and the small spindle just keeps spinning.
Is this thing just junk or have I missed something.
TIA,
Al

All the gears need to be installed so that the limiter can work, If the limiter is in the wrong position that could explain why it will only turn one way. Try and centre the limiter before installing the gears (while not connected) and if that sorts you out :)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Cheers Andy.
I did try that, but as soon as I switch the power on the motor just starts running.

Thanks for replaying.
I suspect it’s junk.

Even if you can't fix it, I'd keep it - you never know when you'll need to modify a servo for constant rotation, need a dummy servo, or need a lead/plug - better to use that than kill a perfectly servicable one :)

Cheers Jonny, no worries about it going anywhere near the bin.
The gears I bought may come in handy at some point. But for now it will be good for just holding the steering in place on one of my projects.
Thanks .

On the plus side, my original radio gear which is over 30 years old, just needed a clean up of the battery terminals in the controller and it’s working fine.

Cheers mate.

As a kid I’d been borrowing my dads M Series until I bought this.
