There is plenty of videos on Youtube on this subject regarding drilling out the rivets.
Usually they are drilled, and the reamins on the body is then run with a tap and assembled with a maschine screw. Clue is to drill carefully and only to a safe distance, drill bit stopper or a air plane wheel collar or a pinion gear can be used as a stopper

I'd drill it off too, with a drill bit the same size as the rivet. Depeding on what you find what you find when you take the chassis off, sometimes it's possible to just pop the chassis back on when you're done & simulate a rivet (functionally, if not completely visually) with a dab of epoxy glue.
