What do you guys use to paint the lettering on your tires? Where do I get it?

Thanks,
Jeff

Easiest way may be to go to a motorcycle retailer and see if they have a white tyre marker with a fine point...
There's a bunch on eBay too but the sellers are mostly in Hong Kong.
Doesn't mention how wide the point is. Very cheap though.

"Tamiya Color for Polycarbonate" - brush paint in 23ml glass jars, PC-1 White, PC-6 Yellow, etc, thinned with X-20A Thinners if neccesary, put on using a small X-pointed jewellers screwdriver as a quill...

Tamiya101.com have a short article on that method - tamiya101.com/a..._tyres.asp - thought I don't think they claim it as their idea, I remember doing the same back in 1984 & it was an old tip then :)

I always use the tamiya paint, normal white, with an 1mm small brush and spend hours and hours at the attic painting the letters...

I use Tamiya PC paints (more flexible than X-paints) and either a needle or a pointed matchstick.
I find that easier than using a brush, as the brush is flexible and may "jump" out of the letter groove.

I was just having half a flahback from 25 years ago with my earlier post. :pinch:
The other half now reminds me I made a mess with the pen alone...
