Lectori salutem
Lars ( larbut ) was the cause of a recent outbreak of Group C fever with his two cars having a stop at my place. I could not resist getting the C11 that was also in that collection : Two Group C's just arrived from Holland Last week I saw another C11 on eBay and I happened to win the auction. As always I could have had a better deal but all and all it's not a bad catch : This one came with the box in much better shape and also included a manual. Spare tyres is not a bad thing either... The car itself is in poorer shape than the first one I got but the two C11s combined make a good match to build an all original one and one that will become an awesome runner! As you can see some things are off about the car - it has blue A parts and F40 body posts. Not a real issue if I'm going to drive it. Actually like the blue wheels hubs. Seen a few C11s from Germany now and I'm starting to think they came with blue parts in that country... Noticed the F103 compatibility a while ago and thought I'd also get some parts to hop it up a bit : - Kawada F103 lightweight rear carbon shaft - F103 (black) FRP steering knuckles - One piece ball thrust bearing - Eagle Racing F103 99T spur gear - Black high torque servo saver - 3Racing turnbuckle set for toe adjustment - Tamiya 7 pc ball bearing set - Black A parts tree - Top it off with some blue ball ends and nuts... Not too many hop ups for the Group C in general but this will make a great basis for an awesome ride! |

Not a bad catch at all...
I love buying "complete" as this, the model, the box, manual and parts as well. -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

The box in good condition and the manual were indeed reasons to place a bid on this car...
In the small box are some cool data sheets too. Not worth much of course but interesting nonetheless. And now I have found this Rc racing track quite nearby : Definitely gonna see if I can run my Sauber there! |

It was very hard to resist. Getting a clear F40 body was also a possibility but budget said otherwise.
These decals will come in very handy - one for the "shelf" and one the fiddle around with for the running car. Another great thing about this shipment is that I received almost all the parts to fit an FRP chassis on the Manta Ray. That will be most awesome. Good day for hard to find parts here! |
