Well, it has to arrive first of course but I just couldn't leave it in the store.
The official vintage hop up for the Manta Ray suspension - #53078 :

Have an idea there aren't many of these floating around... :cheer:

nice find, bit blueisch :silly: ;)

I got me the 53109 Turnbuckle Shaft Set and 53110 6 mm Ball Adjuster Set instead
was inspired by this guy langlotz

I discovered after two years that the "ugly" dampers I got with my second hand CR01 were vintage 53037 Hi-Cap Dampers (Short)

one just has to love this fisch

Great reference page and build - and dampers btw. B)
Having the carbon chassis set and lightweight diffs is just brilliant.

I found the matching turnbuckle set (53110) at some point too - with some other cool (and rare) parts.

But I think I'll leave the blue ones NIP for now, having chosen TRF adjusters and 3racing titanium turnbuckles.
Got a carbon damper stay so only item of the ones above I still have is the torque splitter... great one though. :)

Ja the torque splitter is nice too, have both of them one in my blazing star (diff splitter) and one in my manta ray (the manta one)

you can notice a difference when turning the wheels, the manta splitter you feel the front gear diff still works with the otherone its just loose.

The dampers were a nice discovery, got the Aluminium Pressure Plate Set too these were in a bashed up df-01 chassis I bought for 20

Is the first splitter (one way diff unit) the TA03 item?
Should be interesting to see the difference between the two...

That chassis with extras is a great find. Very cool hop ups. :cheer:
I bought a Manta Ray parts lot mostly for the aluminium shock towers.
Thought I paid a bit too much when it arrived, looking at the state of the plastic parts.
But then I discovered a ball diff, TF hardened main drive shaft and Thunder Shot dogbones.
Those were some unexpected surprises... :)

Love to see that build thread of yours! ;)

I've checked those torque splitters before, how do they actually work?

There's quite a bit to it if you'd want to describe the whole process...
But I think what it basically does is cut off the feedback from the wheels that goes back to the rear.
There is a one way bearing inside that enables this.
It will then be easier to do short turns and the rolling resistance in general is lowered.
