I got my package way faster than I thought I would.
Received Grand Hauler frame rails, Tamiya bullet connectors for vintage resto projects and M05RA uprights for my shortned TL01 chassis which will become Escort Mk2 later.

Over the last 10-12 years I’ve bought a number of Tayg storage/organiser boxes - 35 of the “small” (310mm W x 240mm D x 53mm H) ones in green & yellow, plus two of the “large” ones (460mm wide x 350 deep x 81 mm high) in the same colours.

When I last looked for extras (2019), I could only find the larger ones in black and blue with “Basic Line” badging – and bought 5 of them to completely fill as much indoor space as I was willing to give over to small parts storage.

The small ones are very useful for small numbers of small components (e.g. variations of m3 screw lengths), but they have to go in stacks of 7 to fit the space. This means I’m always having to move them to get at the one I need, and they never go back in the same place, so it can be pain to fid the right one next time. Taking the shortcut of trying to slide out the one I want when it’s only 2nd or 3rd from the top can me the topmost one escapes down the back of the unit.

Having done that twice last week (on the less accessible side of the shelving) prompted me to “upgrade” to all big ones, although they’re arguably less convenient (I’m going to have to put those same M3 screws in little gripseal bags to make best use of the space, for example), they go fit end on so I shouldn’t have to move any to get to a specific one, and they’ve more likely to go back in the same place. Logic says I should shelve them alphabetically, but most of the labels start “M” or “RC” ;)
It would also take a lot of effort to make one of these fall down the back :D

15 of the “large” sorters arrived today in two boxes, each big enough to hold an under the counter ‘fridge   These were apparently “on clearance”, though the price was exactly the same as the last time I bought some – but the shipping cost had gone up 25%.

So far, the contents of 12 “small” ones has gone into 4.5 “large” sorters, if that rate continues it should work out - but possibly with some very odd pairings :)

Well. it was quite long winded.
I initially contacted the seller to ask why the shipment was delivered to another address. The respond was : don't worry it is still in transit. Asked again for clarification with evidences provided. Same response.
Decided to open a case (loaded with pictures of the evidences gathered). Seller refused in the period he was supposed to response. And replied to my message to cancel the case as "the package was likely still in transit", which means they did not even read my message mentioning a different shipment address.
When I received the ligation case back, I decided to reply back I still want the refund with another round of upload of my evidence. There was no reaction of the seller anymore at this stage.
3 days later Aliexpress stepped in: shipment abnormal is valid. Received a message the next day they wanted more information.
Uploaded images again with this time some elements highlighted by red marking to highlight the addresses on both order and shipment information provided by french postal services. plus another of the case, with a question : "what additional information do you require?"
On the next day, I noticed a message form the seller indicating a new package number, but not in the case, on the messaging from aliexpress. The package was marked in preparation. I also checked the feedback of the seller (next time I'll pay more attention to those), and it was indicating a 20% of negative feedback with mutiple people mentionning the seller as a lier, with not received or sent to wrong adresse or received something else...
This morning, I received the refund from Alipay Europe thru paypal (I paid by paipal). The case is closed.

As it was refunded, I ordered two servos on amazon with a delivery tomorrow so my son can start his Super Hotshot build this week-end (he bugs me since I ordered the servo back in December at least twice a day).

I'm waiting for other parts and checked the tracking site of french postal services in the afternoon. It seems that the unexpected package is arriving, although there is a refund, as it is now in France. We'll see what it is on Friday. The fact the seller wait Aliexpress to tell him is doing wrong to provide another shipment number is by default suspicious. Feedbacks also are suspicious. I'm asking myself what I will receive on Friday or Saturday in this arriving package... Not sure at all what I should expect.

Had a similar issue with aliexpress but mine was an rc kit that said it had everything in the kit inc electronics. When it arrived it didnt have any electronics. to get them it would have doubled the price so I complained, eventually got half my money back from aliexpress and half back from paypal as I contacted them too. It gave me enough to get radio gear but no battery or esc. Got them now though. Stopped using aliexpress, cheaper on eBay and Amazon now

I've had purchases go awry, luckily paid for with Paypal, as my bank's way of dealing with any section 75/ chargeback questions (or any others) is to deny it's their problem, lie more and end the call  When a seller doesn't perform, doesn't respond to queries, doesn't engage with a dispute process, and does inappropriate things outside of it - or just very, very slowly, then I tend to lose any sympathy for them.

In circumstances like that it's difficult to see anything that does arrive as compensation for the BS. I wouldn't be offering to send it back if it involved the slightest bit of effort, and definitely not if it involved any expense. If the dispute process has finished, I'd be questioning whether I had a duty to report it's eventual arrival.

That's assuming you do get what you ordered, rather the the wrong thing, an empty package, or one with the a note with the Cantonese equivalent of "aye, yer maw!" ;)

So shiny

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

So a few deliveries here.
I’ve picked up a couple more Model Car magazines, I really wanted one of them because it has an article  on making an XR311 4WD. It reminded me of a car Mongoose had that was a Cheetah that had been converted to be 4WD. Sadly the photos are really hard to pick out any details from and the write up is fairly loose at best. I’ll give it a good read through if nothing else.
I picked up a rear bumper for a few Sand Rover / Holiday Buggy builds that are on going.
And finally a Jeep Wrangler body. I’ve had my eye out for on of these for ages.
It’s in great shape, I think the rear bumper is missing ??
It’s hooked up with LEDs which is new to me.
I have a set of original wheels and tyres in a box of spares somewhere.
So at some point I either go for a CC01 chassis or put together more if a crawler type chassis. I’m thinking all those ubiquitous Chinese ladder style chassis and axle sets you get on eBay, I guess a bit like RC4WD stuff, not that I own any or know much about it ???
Thanks.
