After some longer time restoring 1:8 Robbe Cars I took the chance to get Wild Willy LWB in very good condition. Today it has arrived. From first look I do not see any wear or damages.Tires soft, no cracks, seems complete. What do you think?
Only thing which I noticed is the missing servo bracket and unfortutanely the MSC. Is that MSC (black PCB and 2 resistors) dedicated for the Wild Willy 1 only or was it also used on other Chassis as I have some problems to find one. Anyone who has one left or knows where I can get one? Or is it as rare as some other Tamiya vintage parts and there will be no chance to get one? Attachments: |

Very nice WW - looks barely used, if at all
I would look at the Opel Ascona, Audi Quattro & Willy's Wheeler for bits,; the Frog & Brat has the 2 resistors as well. Possibly the MSC is black in some Frogs/Brats too - I'm sure it was in my early Grasshopper as well, although the wiring may have been different as that had a single, 3-pin resistor. the Pajero wheelie is close enough in release date that it's worth a look too. I think if you persevere, something will come up The tiny M2 pip bit that fits on the end of the steering servo arm though, I don't think I've ever seen one of those come up for sale, they're rarely on Willy's either - at least not the ones I've bought. I resorted to turning down a brass acorn nuts ...

Oh man, that would have been perfect fit. Unfortunatley I did not find that yesterday before and I just purchased a bracket and a controller separately in Gemany an UK. I thought this would be rare and took the chance. But hey, better be happy about the second best than frustrated after weeks of searching without success😁
…but still look for the hook for the wench😉 |

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate
