This arrived today, an early F1 chassis, well most of one ??
I bought it for parts to complete a chassis I’m working on for a Ligier build.

I do think a little bit of honesty to say that a real wheel is broken, wouldn’t have harmed anyone. I’m sure a bit of glue will sort this out. It’s not like we’re going to thrash around with these vintage cars ??!!!!
And 15 minutes later and it’s in pieces. I’m sure I can find a bit of time this weekend to start cleaning the parts up, hopefully.
So fingers crossed my Ligier body sent will have a chassis to sit on.

A lot of prints arrived today for one specific project and validation of the possibility to do print resins for a nice bodyshell... (details later on in the respective threads / not everything on the pic arrived today, the black bodyshell was printed at home)
I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them :-)

Todays delivery !!!! The Martini Mk 22 Renault. Tamiya’s number 14 model.
I only ever saw this car in the Tamiya catalogues I’d never seen one in the flesh until today. I like it.

After going through the box of assorted bits that came with it, although there’s always a lot of random rubbish in them, it did contain the differential gears and some plastic wheel stopper bits.
I already knew it had the gear box, rear wheels and a tyre.

With the body off.
Luckily I have the metal plates the hjservos attach to. The speed controller is the one used in the Sand Rover, so there’s a good chance I’ve got one of those.
As luck would have it I’ve got an axle in the post as well.
Although I’m missing a tyre, I might put the sponge ones on that came with the F1 chassis which is going to become a Ligier.
I might even be tempted to Nick the front wheels and tyres off this for the Ligier build.

And here’s all the stuff which is mostly of no use and will be going into my box of “ crap “.
There does appear to be a full set of Sand Rover gears, some resistors and a 380 motor with the metal motor plate used in the original Subaru Brat. I’m sure there’s some other useful stuff, but there’s still a lot of trash.

Cheers Flo.
Although it needs a bit of work, I think this will look great when it’s finished.
The body hasn’t been painted which is a massive win !!!
I think the hardest thing to find is the wing mirrors.

I forgot the mirrors on the ralt and the matra. Almost unfindable and I have no possibility to print them nor search printable ones. This f2 is awesome Al.

Cheers Flo, my first thought was whether someone had ever created 3D printed ones.
I’ve got some free time tomorrow, I will do a bit of searching on the internet.
