Is that a hacked up Sand Rover 540 motor mount ?

This is a Marui Hunter / Galaxy motor mount (540)...
That being said, the rear design may be inspired from Tamiya Holiday Buggy...
I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them :-)

Earlier this week I got a package from Flo with gears for my DF01 Lunchbox project.
Today I gave them a bath in WD40.

And yesterday I popped into my lhs to buy these parts.
The 5x12x4mm bearings are for the front uprights on my DF01 Lunchbox as I use TG10 axles and not the orginal wheelaxles for the TL01LA uprights.
Traxxas #1942 is my favorite rod ends for 3mm rods, available in most shops, slop free and can articulate more than any Tamiya rod ends, handy for custom crawler builds.
Traxxas #5347 is my favorite ones for 4mm rods, and those are nearly bullet proof.
For orginal builds I use orginal rod ends ofcourse.

Today I had 2 packages, One was my grey plastic primer, I only wanted 2 cans really but it was only a few £ more to get a pack of 4 so That's what I got.

Jonny, do you use adhesion promoter with it?

The other was a 1/24 scale pickup I thought may be good for my grandson as he said to me he can't drive anything fast or he will crash.
It's not Tamiya and was only cheap but unfortunately it didn't come with any radio gear or a battery even though it said it was in the package in the listing. There were 2 options from the seller, both had radio gear and battery listed in the contents.. One that was a kit and one that was ready to run, the kit being a few quid cheaper but you have to put it together, no problem.. hence why I got that one. The only thing that was not supplied were the 2 aa batteries for the Transmitter.

Currently waiting for reply from the seller.

I'm a little disappointed that there's no electrics or battery, however I was going to replace the micro steering servo, the motor and esc for better ones anyway after seeing upgrades on youtube to make it run perfect as they are a bit poor quality wise.

It looks nice. A pretty body.
a friend bought a 1/16 rc from amazon rtr with 2 lipo batt. 2 bodies etc.... It is sold on amazon for less than 100€. And after some runs on the beach, he's very happy of it.

Nope. See www.hycote.co.u...-promoter/ :

"WHERE NOT TO USE
Flexible plastics.
Thermoplastics such as acrylics, polystyrene, polycarbonates, polyolefins etc."

More Cheetah body shell parts.
These bodies really are model kits on an rc chassis. You’ve got to love Tamiya for that.

Sure! Especially militarian vehicles. Xr311, cheetah, fav and hummer are very detailled. Without thinking chars... Same the " confidential 1/14kubelwagen is crazy.

Thanks for the info Jonny.  I only asked because of the sticker on the lids.   I have half a litre up the garage if I needed it but I would have to use my spraygun..

Flo, the pickup was £26 delivered so very cheap. If it comes with radio gear and a battery it would be a bonus, although they're supposed to be rubbish I would at least have something to run it on.  At worst I will get a dumbo rc kit to run it.
I will definitely upgrade the gearbox and motor to the 2 speed and bigger motor. Can't see an esc in there either but that was one of the things people upgrade so I would be buying one regardless. .
There's a lot of parts on thingyverse that I can 3D print so looking forward to that. Lets see what the seller comes back with.
