I completed the Monster Beetle restoration this weekend, and I'm pretty happy with the way it came out:

Then I decided it was time to release two packs of AJ's foam slicks from their slumbering bags, and mount them to another set of gold wheels for pavement duty:

Fantastic resto work on that one Todd!
Looks amazing!

Not often you see foam tires these days on Monster Trucks. Sure miss the 90s.

Thanks! I have another set of these foams for my Blackfoot, and was very surprised I was able to find two sets. I remember running the foams down pretty thin back in the day

It is not exactly about today, but it's today that I sorted the pictures taken by my son...
Saturday and Sunday, we were in Montluçon again for the Montluçonnaise - Speciale edition... A full week-end of Vintage RC...
I set my stand arriving early on Saturday morning as usual. This time there was about 25 cars on my table (including my son's Fantom (my former one) and his Super Hotshot).

The weather on Saturday was far from perfect... There was expected improvement for the end of the morning, but it only came late afternoon...

As a result, we spent lot of time discussing in the stands and very few dare to run their cars...

This time, I won prices for the Super Hotshot bodyshell in the off road category, and the Coors was second in the on road category...

The weather did not improved until very late afternoon... And as usual in this type of conditions, the Lunchbox is my primary pick...

On his side, my son decided the Fantom would be the ideal drift car... No way to heat the foam tires on the track that day...

Some ran their 1/8 cars and were ready to have hard time cleaning... While other preferred to go onroad to limit cleaning work...

My Manx made its first run...

I also ran the Mercury 4Xi, but that was not really a success as I broke the wing at the first jump...
