It's a Kyosho Turbo Optima. My mate has one in bad shape, yours looks good.

The wheels should have a taper lock system, instead of the locating pin and hub adapter.

If the colours in the picture don't play games with me, it is a Kyosho Turbo Optima with the anniversary gold chassis kit.
The white upper chassis is not original, it could be a JG mfg top plate or a homemade one.
The red/blue front/rear wheel hubs (?) are not original either, and I believe it's a Reedy red dot or pink dot motor in there.

This is one of the things that interest me:

It looks like the front hubs where replaced with Tamiya parts. My mate's Turbo Optima has black front hubs.

Yes, you're right, of course the original parts were broken, do not know the history of this model.
However, are well..Tamiya parts make miracles!!!

Yes, the blue parts looks like Boomerang, the originals are silver aluminum. The red parts I don't recognise as the originals are black plastic.

The brass bumper stay looks strange as well, it too seems like a Tamiya Hotshot/boomerang part somehow fitted to the optima gearbox.

And of course the upper suspension arms are unoriginal as well. The originals were threaded rods with ballcups. As for the steering rods, they have unoriginal ballcups.

@frog66
I'm not really looking to buy... I have my fair share of opimas and optima mids, but of course, I'm always interested in cars for spares, if the price is reasonable. I no longer buy at those inflated ebay prices, I now try to source my cars/spares from friends or friends friends friends ;-) so ask him to give me a price suggestion, and we'll see :whistle:
