Can remember seeing the Avante back in the late 80s in my local Beatties in Kingston upon Thames (UK) and looked light years ahead of everything else available from Tamiya. Almost 25 years later I dont think its aged that bad. Was about to sell it on a popular auction site, but came to my senses and keeping it. And yes its a runner!

Hi Lee, welcome on board
I had an Avante myself for a while back in the day, but it was a pretty ugly looking used example, and I got shot of it pretty quickly. Girls & hustling up money for bike & car licences (and getting a bit of money set aside for cars & bikes themselves) were far more interesting at the time ... I've got to say that seeing your nice old skool example does make me want one a bit more |

I could not afford one back in 88 think I ended up with a Tamiya Blackfoot. But can still remember the Avante promotional video playing on a TV in the store and the buggy on a revolving stand on the counter.
