Hi guys. I am just now getting back into RC after a 30 decade hiatus. My oldest son is now getting into it hard core after getting my grandson an RC car for Christmas. Their enthusiasm got me fired up again, and I broke out the old original Tamiya Wild Willy that I built back in 1983 when my son was a baby. We restored it for the 3rd time over the holidays, and it is back at it again after about 20 years when I restored it and ran it last time. Here is a picture of it. It is the 1st series (short wheel base) Wild Willy which I just learned are fairly rare. What I understand is they made this kit for about a year, when they did a subtle modification on the later ones of the 1st series. I had no idea that mine was one of the original release, but was pleasantly surprised that it is.
