My first real Rc car (kit) was a Tamiya Monster Beetle. I purchased it new when I was 14, and of course had to get a job to gather the money. That car brought more joy to my childhood than some people understand. Throughout time I managed to misplace it, however I have just purchased another off of Ebay and plan on restoring it. I've owned several kits throughout my life, Tamiya, Losi, Kyosho, and Associated, but the old school tamiya stuff is always a blast. My wife and kids are even into Rc cars, my wife has a Duratrax Nitro Evader, my son- Traxxas Stampede, my daughter- re-production Tamiya Frog. I'm looking forward to learning new things about Tamiya and getting to know new people that share the same interest in Tamiya. James
