Grasshopper vs Hornet 3 years 11 months ago #59368

I just found another bag of Tamiya in the loft - I barely remember this lot.
A few questions spring to mind.

Why is the chassis marked Grasshopper when it looks to fit the Hornet?

Is the hard body Grasshopper unusual?

What is the best strategy for selling on ebay? One lot, two or more?

Cheers

The hornet is an upgraded version of the grasshopper.
The grasshopper has a 380 type motor hard body and simple spring shocks.
The hornet has a 540 motor 2 rear hydrolic shocks and a lexan body. The fixation of the gearbix is different to.
The chassis is exactely the same except a small hole in the front of the chassis for the hornet body post generalysed on all chassis after the hornet released.
Rear body/shocks posts are different to.
And rear tires. Chovel style for the grasshopper and pin spikes for the hornet

Many thanks. I did notice after I posted that the body mounts were missing if you were to try using the Hornet body on the Grasshopper chassis.

None of the Hornets I ever bought had any spikes left on the tyres!

I think two lots makes sense then as they are not directly compatible as is (bodies and chassis)

Cheers
