I'll go with lipos then. I've purposely bought a charger that can do both.

I like the metal antennas. The hotshot has a plastic one as well but I don't like it.

Yeah I've read about the frog gearbox. What happens when it goes wrong? Not run it yet apart from around the front room. It's for my biggest girl.

The ESC that comes in the kit can run at 10t brushless as long as it's sensored. However if the gearbox is weak then she can have my tuned one off the hotshot if and when I change it. 

Rere orv gearboxes are better than original ones. But with a too much powerfull motor you can ear some cracks and destroy the trans.
