G'day from Down Under!!! 13 years 5 months ago #287

My name is Damien & I live in an outer suburb of Melbourne, Australia. I was first introduced to Tamiya radio controlled cars when I was about 11 or 12 (many moons ago). My neighbor @ the time got a Tamiya Frog. Luckily my father also took a liking to it & it was not long b4 he decided we should have one. It was not a Frog but a Marui Hunter. This was the start of a long obsession. After the Hunter came my first Tamiya, a Boomerang. Loved that car. Then came a Kyosho Optima mid, Hirobo Zerda, Monster Beetle, TA01, TA02. Had a break from the hobby selling all but the TA02 which I held on to for about 15 odd years b4 getting back into racing w' it & finding it was a little out dated. Upgraded to a TA04 then a TA04pro & Mini Cooper Racing M03 b4 another break. Got back into it w' a nitro acr which lasted about 2-3 years b4 time got the better of it & I decided to just race Tamiya Mini. First had a M03 & now M05 as well as a far collection of vintage Tamiya's.

My Collection so far:

* Monster Beetle (Built barely run)
* Blackfoot (Project)
* Mud Blaster (Project)
* Frog's (1 x Re-Re, 1x Vintage, both built never run)
* Subaru Brat (NIB, Re-Re)
* Hornet (Project)
* Super Hornet (Runner)
* Grasshopper (Re-Re, built never run)
* Bigwig (Runner project)
* Boomerang x 2 (1 x built never run, 1 x project runner both vintage)
* Super sabre (Vintage Boomerang, project to transform into Super Sabre)
* Hotshot (Vintage project)
* Hotshot II (Built never run)
* Supershot (Project)
* Fox (Project)
* Wild One (Built never run)
* Blitzer Beetle (NIB)
* Mini M01 (NIB, Monte Carlo rally version)
* Mini M02 (NIB, Honda version)
* Mini M03's (Various versions)
* Mini M05pro
* Sand Scorcher (Re-Re)
* Traxxas E-Maxx (Runner)
* Active 4wd M-Chassis

As you can see I have a few cars in the list & a bit of work to get them all up to scratch but it will be enjoyable doing it. Just a matter of finding time to do it. My wife brought me a shed about2 years ago which I turned into a workshop/ hobby shed.
Anyway hope you enjoyed my intro & I will try to get some pic's up soon. Until then I am on Tamiyaclub & my user name is Damaniac.

Cheers Damien.
