For those who thought I might be dead - nope, not yet, just been really busy/distracted....

Whilst being distracted, the postie turned up with a packet of new caterpillar eggs I'd forgotten I'd ordered back in November last year. These ones have done a considerably better than the last lot.
Out of 15 eggs, only 8 hatched, & out of those 3x escaped & 1 died. The other 4x caterpillars are monstrous, 1 of which appears to be getting ready to pupate as we speak.

Quick update - with the hot (But late) summer we've had, all 4x caterpillars did well & pupated.
A couple of nights ago, one has hatched, so I now have a moth to play with, hopefully the other 3x will hatch soon.
It's fairly big & has some weight to it. Very docile, it's happy just sitting in your hand, but when it flies you realise just how big it is. Oh, & it squeaks if you poke it about! V cool....
