Post it to me Andy, I want it....

Saw a couple of great diving beetles flying at the weekend, don't wanna get smacked in the face by one on the bike, they're bigger & harder than bumble bees. Their larvae are usually really angry too & will attack your stick if you poke them

 Would love to see customs faces when they x-rayed that beastie

Everyone loves bugs in the face while riding, Don't they
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

no not really....
Yep, they get in your teeth, just like the pic!
Large hard ones, pets & children are worse, & hailstones, resurfacing grit, badword ends, screenwash, apple cores, beer cans etc... "car only" drivers tend not to care what goes on outside their windows, much less what they throw out of them

I think they gave it a name before Star Wars came out, otherwise they should've called it a Jawamoth. :silly:
That's some kind of alarm clock!

Perhaps eddrick can confirm (or refute) if it was shouting "Ootinee!"

Spotted this tiny grasshopper - nose to tail it was approx. 25mm, but its feelers added another 75mm

Sometimes get quite large bush crickets around here - look like the black (Or brown) crickets you get to feed pet lizards/spiders, but they're bigger & luminous green with a big spike on their backside. Truly weird looking things.

3x moths have expired now, but still got the big one, which is a bit of an escape-artist! Quite funny really cos the cat's scared of it!

Crazy crickety critter. You'd think we're in a meadow but it's just a small plastic pot on a rear second floor balcony.
