Couple ques on the Molotow Chrome pens....
1. Safe to use over existing paint (in this case, Tamiya TS), assuming the paint has had plenty of time to cure? 2. Would you clear coat over the Molotow (assuming it's had the usual thousand days to cure), or best to clear coat first and then use the Molotow? Cheers, |

I use it directly and wait several days before touch it. No clear. It works on lexan and hard bodies

I use it to like a chrome base for lights. For example on the lunchy body. After several hours, I apply red or orange translucid x26 x27 tam paints. That does the job

You can paint it directly, i put a gloss paint layer on 1st, color doesnt matter.
It loves to be applied in heavy layers compared to aluclad and other model chrome paints. I leave it alone at least 5 days before touching it again. I tried several different clear coats to protect the chrome paint, but all turn the chrome surface into a silver one. Comparism between new and old chrome (14month difference) |

Couldn't be more right, if this was more versatile it would almost be perfect. I have also tried to clear over it to protect it, it doesnt work HA!

This paint material is actually very durable. I've only used it once but highly recommend it
