I agree, a Hardbody is great.

May not even be friction ... but I suppose you could always find a bit of rubber tube & make them so ...
Definately no oil in those shocks - the screw near the top is a dead giveaway |

looks the same as the blackfoot extreme apart from the graphics
not good should have made a re re of the original and friction shocks? come on who would buy this? Tamiya you should be doing better  this is what it should have looked like:
