And some was VERY certain the 58500 should be a reissue Egress...

That kind of sucks. I was expecting more for #500...

I'm actually quite positive about this one - it probably means lots of cheap body sets for - 1/ "restoring" vintage Sand Rovers;
2/ lots of rough old vintage Holiday Buggys getting a new lease of life;
3/ fitting to re-re SRB chassis & having a good looking, capable (albeit expensive) chassis under the shell


Shame there won't be any of the original rear knobblie tyres though

The car itself could be lots of fun of course.

But for this number I was expecting something special...

We can hope for the body to be like the original, but I fear this one also will get "vent holes" in the bonnet/hood to make room for the DT-02 damper towers.

Although you're probably right

The more I think about it, the cooler these new releases become.
Unfortunately that counts the least for this special number.

I would have loved to have seen a (evolved) full option Top Force Evo II.
Mostly complying with the original parts with some new upgrades - maybe a slipper clutch for example.
And a whole new range or releases for the parts.

Then it would be much more memorable or almost legendary like the 58100 is.
