I don't know if it is the same size as the cr01 but it is a nice lexan body. In 3 parts. Main body and the 2 under sideswith a lot of added parts. And fully light buked. The side mirrors are soft plastic but very fragile. And a lot of chrome. Perso I love this body. I had a cr01 with this body. On a cc01, if it is the same body as the cr01, it will be more scale.

Interesting ... looks like the only Tamiya Unimog you can get at present is the (curvy) 406 on a CC-02 chassis, it's even out of stock everywhere (in the UK anyway) as just the body set.
"Discontinued" really means nothing with Tamiya, there could be several containers worth on the way to the UK as we speak & you'd never know until they start appearring on eBay & retailer websites ![]() Tamiya have only ever made the two 1:10 unimog bodies (the angular 425 and the 406), AFAIK each is exactly the same regardless of which chassis (or none) it appears on - CR-01, CC-01, CC-02, CW-01 or body set. TBH I don't really like either of them. Despite all the good thing Stingray mentioned, they're still polycarbonate bodies & I think the rear beds - and especially the way they're joined to the back of the cab - are nasty and lazy. I did look at other 1:10 scale angular Unimogs, there are hard bodies out there but from overseas and usually at great expense, and not for Tamiya chassis so width might be an issue, wheelbase almost certainly will be. If you really want to throw caution to the wind, I kept finding crew cab pickup & 6x6 versions on AliExpress :L TBH I think you'll just have to keep checking the usual suspects - ttpmodels.com, jadlamracingmodels.com, modelsport.co.uk and so on, and set up a search on eBay & hope something comes up ![]()

Thanks for the info guys. I am constantly checking around on the sites mentioned.
Tend to get side tracked and then buy another project hence the questions on multiple models. Just trying to collect all the parts I need for them so at least I can start and finish one. Also find doing the research and searching for parts is all part of the enjoyment for me. |
