Finally got some work done on my SRB Ford F150 Ranger with the Butterfly chassis that I made couple months ago. Still a long way to go to get it finish. May be till next spring.
Link to my Butterfly chassis: tamiyabase.com/...nyone.html Wide front axle and front body mount. I am unable to locate an original F150 front body post so I make use of the one from the Sand Scorcher. Dual shock mount, roll bar and roll cage that I made. Spend some to figure out how to put the dent spot where the rear post is mounted on. Link to my dual rear shock mount and roll bar: tamiyabase.com/...nyone.html tamiyabase.com/...d-xlt.html Ford F150 Lexan body and some more goodies for the project. Ball universal joint. Race Prep high torque motor. I can't even turn the motor shaft with my fingers. |

Did some more work on the Ford over the holiday break.
Scraped the dual rear shock mount idea, changed it into a single shock mount instead. The mount is cut out of a 7075 aluminum sheet. Fabricate a shock tower saver for the wide front axle. Cut a piece of Kydex for the rear skid plate. Similar to the CRP one but extended to the rear cage. Truck with new fabricate front body mount. That's it for now!

I know this is really old, but do you know where I could find a set of those dual rear shock mounts for the scorcher? Thanks Bret bret_kissick@msn.com |
