TOPIC:

Since a couple of weeks or so i was once again a little bit crazy idea in the head, the Rough Riders will be set to the Baja racer.

The rough concept, but still needs a little rightly be filed. Nothing here now in spite of the start.

Base is a tamiya Rough Riders Chassie from 1979. The Rough Riders was at that time and also the re-release already on deserts buggy, but it is not Baja racer.

The Chassie:

The rc box was away, so goes the remaining Chassie now in the conversion

The front axle was dismantled ...

... And dismantled. Then it went to the coarse before cleaning, the parts were then transferred to the ultrasonic bath.

Meanwhile, the plans in my head continuously, what relatively quickly clear was the longer spring travel must, as in the original condition. The original dampers offer very good Spring travel but for this conversion but a bit too little.
