Richard's Boomerang rebuild 3 weeks 3 days ago #78037

A while ago I purchased a Boomerang from Flo.
Yesterday I fitted new wheels and tires for now.

First part task is to see if I can restore the wheels.
Tires is hard as solid plastic so they was no hope for

Tires was easy to remove, cut a knob of and cut across tire with a flush side cutter and then peeled like a orange.

After 24 hours in grafitti remover, 99% of the paint was gone.
I did scrub them several times with cotton sticks during that time.

Only one outer ring was good enough to keep so I decided to sand them off. What a mess!

My el chipo lathe lol!

Also did the backside. The outher ring was good enough to keep.

That is how far I managed today.
