Ok everyone get involved, I have 2 options for bodies on the 1/8 crawler :cheer: first: a single cab truck, second: an open top Jeep.

This is a pol for all of you to make your choice, come on help me out :P

Edit: I can't seem to add the polling to this, so just like the post with the picture of the body you ...well ...like

HI!... I vote for the truck body. The jeep body looks the wrong scale for the chassis/wheels. A grave digger body would be even better.

HI!... This is mine. The body is more proportional to the chassis.

Absolutely with you on proportions, just don't think its as important with these monster truck types

I don't like either, but I suppose if it comes down to it I hate the red one less

I'm thinking more 12" action figure / 1:6 scale jeep - I'm not 100% sure of the dimensions by any means, but it could be a reasonably off the shelf solution (as opposed to making one from scratch).

A lot of them from memory are made of blow-moulded polypropylene or similar, but this one - a vintage "Marx Toys" "Command Patrol" Jeep (ebay 191433252960) looks to be an injection moulded styrene like plastic. The box states "over 21 long", so making a lot of assumptions (inches, "over" is optimistic, including bumpers & tow bar) I extrapolate a wheelbase of something around 315mm.

I like that willy's body :y: unfortunately it's already priced @ more than I picked up the crawler for :pinch:

That has to be one of the horriblest, most vomit-inducing things I have ever seen.

Red truck for me I think.
