I normally select what I read (on other forums) on the basis of the title and not the section it is in too.
Either that or a topic comes up as the result of a search.
Organizing the sections is more administrative than a practical necessity.
Btw - only nagging I do on other sites is about resizing pics to an acceptable level.

I suspect Lars' schedule is quite swamped so there's no hurry with the subject.
For the same reason I'd be happy with a mild adjustment of the 'off topic' section.

A sister site (like eddrick mentioned) might be a step when traffic gets really busy on TB and the forum therefore messy.
But I don't think we're at that point yet...

@waterbok : thanks for the philosophical approach. But let's also take the eternal 'now' into account.
Of course with time TB will become the site dedicated to classic ... ancient Tamiya.
It'll never become prehistoric though. Since all the history is recorded here...

On another improvement note - I noticed the home page looks much tidier.
Like the blog links on the right a lot.
Had to look twice where the comments were.

And on topic... I'm getting all kinds of complicated rearrangements ideas...
Thinking about a main section where the introductions and identifications could go for example.
Never mind my brainstorm...

A new section called "Builds and Restorations"
With these categories (with description)

• Vintage Tamiya original build or restoration
• (The place for "back to original" restorations or builds of Tamiyamodels up to 58149(1994))
• Vintage Tamiya custom builds
• (The place for custom builds of Tamiya models up to 58149(1994))
• Modern Tamiya custom builds
• (The place for custom builds of Tamiya models 58150 (1995) and onwards.)
• Modern Tamiya original build and restorations
• (The place for "back to original" restorations and builds of models 58150 (1995) and onwards.)
• Other makes original builds and restorations
• (The place for "back to original" restorations and builds of other than Tamiya models)
• Other makes custom builds
• (The place for custom builds of other than Tamiya models.)

any thoughts?

It's ok as far as it goes, but I think it could use a few more subsections...

I had a bit of a different train of thought and was thinking more along the lines of a 'non-vintage Tamiya' section.
That would have a build section of it's own and anything else could go into the 'vintage non-Tamiya' section.
That would then become the non-Tamiya section...
But I don't wanna overcomplicate.

And it's not that I don't like the previous ideas.

Adding that since I started the topic I noticed how the technical section and 'Anything else' could also be rearranged...

It's Lars' prerogative to implement any new sections...
But after that I suspect to be quite busy with it.
So tonight'll be alright. Apart from the Group C I want to finish.

How about a cinema category? While I'm at it...
And I also like the paint / body shop idea a lot.

Of course this forum is like it originally was (in Rome) - the public can talk but Larbutus Maximus rolls the dice .
