With the help of Edou (Thank you, mate!) I got hold of these two Group C models which were missing from my collection.
They are both in good condition and will only require som light restoration work. I am not sure about the F40 though, the body is definetly from the reissue with pre painted body, but maybe the chassis is original. Time will show.
Anyway, both came with good condition (original) boxes, so the Box Art section of The DataBase will be updated soon.

Again, a big thank you to Edou for taking the time and work to receive, repack and send the models to me. You did an excellent job :-)

You're welcome Lars! The cars look awesome. Only thing is that I am now hooked on the Group C chassis!

Since I had these two cars in my hands I've started to admire the design a lot.
Cool thing is that they are so big in real life too! :woohoo:
Now that I hear of a reissue F40 body this is planted in my brain again... ;)

Your F40 has the red A parts so that's an indication it's original. Research on Tamiyabase of course...
Didn't the first issue ever come with a finished body?
The seller had not been active with Rc for a while I think.

Hope to show their C11 sibling on the forum myself soon. :)

Norway seems to be a bit further away for the national postal services than one might think btw.
Then again - nothing like the Asian spray cans. :pinch:

One more smiley for Group C! :silly:

Here it is guys :

Gotta love this car... :)

Body is looking almost flawless. It was driven - supposedly without the body on it which sounds credible.
The bottom is a bit (actually more than a bit) scratched so I'm still thinking what to do...
Just drive it or restore it and put it on a shelf.
I've started to lean towards the restoration project.
The box came with it and is not looking bad either so that's cool too.

Think it would be lots of fun to drive though... :woohoo:

I've always loved the 1:1 C11 too. Favourite car to drive on a long oval on Playstation.

Definitely decided this will become a full restoration and a shelf car.
Gonna slowly build a runner alongside it...
Just wanna see how fast you can make this go too. :woohoo:

Sorry Lars, gonna tease you with Spitfire's NSX a little since they had the same owner ;) :

I've been thinking - something's off with my C11 too.
The chassis was run a bit more than I was suspected to believe.

The wing supports have damage also (wheelies?) but the body is in perfect shape.
I'm starting to think the chassis is from the R91CP.
This part (wing support) is shared by both cars and the Nissan is the one that's missing in the story.
The Jag was also still available.

@Spitfire : did you get a R91CP body with the NSX?

Curious how it really sticks together...

Now the plan is to do a restoration with the C11 body (and box) as a basis and get another shell to run the chassis with.
Making a shelfer of the C11 will be in the long run though but I'm not gonna drive the vintage body... :side:

I bought the nissan from another seller with that raped 300ZX shell.(seen on TG)

And the R91CP has a different wing support as the C11. That's why i haven't used the spare part's i talked about.

Marktplaats Ex- owners picture:

How i sold it:

-
Look the nissan got triangel shaped wing support:

And the C11 got circle shaped wing support:

Last picture is for sale, i only used 2 body post for the nissan.
