the little box is tamiya, and you can adjust it to make it flash slower or faster. looks cool in the dark!

well, the hornet is going to be used as a spare parts car as it needs to much work and money spent on it. i can use it for spares on my grasshopper.
whats with the rear top suspension mounts on the hornet, can i fit them to the grasshopper and will they help at all?

You can replace the whole rear suspension with Hornet parts.
The oil filled dampers, damper mounts and also the rear suspension mounts and springs.
There are two pieces from the damper mounts (for locking the Hornet body) sticking out on top then... and the Grasshopper body is just a bit too narrow at the back. Last thing is the only disadvantage.
But it would be a great donor car in any case... :)

I took off the pieces that were sticking out... still needs a better finish though.
But it's all Hornet suspension parts.

are the hornet rear dampers oil filled? they look the same as my grasshopper?
maybe just adding the top shock mounts may make a difference, maybe the more upright stance of the shocks make them work a bit better

The ones from the Hornet are definitely a much better (oil filled) type of shock. :cheer:
Having the cars at home, I would switch the whole set up myself...

i am going to take the complete rear end off the hornet today. strip it, clean it and fit all new bearings then fit it to the grasshopper

Very cool... B)

If you leave the body posts on, you'll also be able to run the Hornet body if you want.
Hope you get the rear of the GH body to fit right though.
I needed to do some modding there to let the top of the shocks have enough free space.
When the suspension is pushed in, the angle of the shocks slightly changes...

hornet back end all on now, new bearings and all new tamiya grease in the gearbox.
with a little "modding" with a dremmel, the body fits perfect, and looks ok.
