If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

In my quest for a Mk.1 Hotshot, I have to make some compromises...
This time I just had to buy this New Built, unused, Hotshot Mk.2, just because it had Mk.1 front drives hafts Ok, it will also make an excellent Mk.2 Shelf Queen. On a side note, this model could disprove the common understanding that only Mk.1 Hotshots came with the Mk.1 front drive shafts. A big thank you to Ebay seller Vintagecorp , for once again supplying top quality items. Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

There's no decal on it, but it's stamped "AYK" and "Race Prep". Can't find much info about it anywhere. Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

It's close, but the image shows the rare version with the ceramic armature. Mine is the version with normal steel armature. And as far as I can gather my version is a bit older than the ceramic version. Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

Race Prep was the US distributor of AYK in the 90's. Earlier, World R/C Import & Export Inc, was representing AYK in the US. When Race Prep took over, they introduced their own line of hop-up parts for the AYK's, including motors.
They are still in business: www.raceprephobbies.com/
