DHL delivered a packge today from L&L Models.
This package was not cheap! 93.40 quid incl shipping, on top of that DHL wanted 28.40 for customs and transport. I avoid DHL when I can, but in some cases I can't select other options. At least it was quick ish with 9 days from ordering. Ordered another Zakspeed Capri body. This time the Team C body that L&L sells. This is a direct copy of the Tamiya body it seems. I did place it over a unpainted Tamiya body and it was exactly the same even it states 258wb instead of the 251 as Tamiya specs. But dang it! I ordered the wrong decals! The ones closes to camera, MCI, the other is Team C. Now I have 3 complete Würth decal sets, 4 with my finished car! Have Würth decals for days now!!! And last item I ordered was the L&L HPI MX60 copy tires as the HPI ones are getting hard to come by. These is also half the cost. What I thought I ordered was the Craus Würth decals as seen on this vintage Dickie 1:12 Zakspeed Now I have 3 Zakspeeed Capri bodies to do and only 2 sets of decals (Mampe and Jägermeister) Need to order Kraus, D&W, Pentosin and Liqui Moly decals and 3 more bodies. The bodies are cheaper at Asiatees so that's where I gonna order the remaining bodies. |

Yes, that's a large reason I got drawn to this kit. I was actually looking for a Street Rover first (and still want to find one). IG_tamiyaddiction

This full set of 3D printed parts for the complete wing on the Blazing Blazer came up on eBay a couple of weeks ago. I think I paid £45 all in, including postage from Italy. Well they turned up today !!!! I’d been looking on Shapeways, but that would have been more money, so I’d always been putting off getting these parts. First impression, they need a bit of tidying up, but the seller had already declared this, so I’m pretty happy with them. At least it means I can finish the body now. Something else which will be interesting to see is that this same company are going to be selling the actual body shell which I assume is 3D printed. It will be interesting to see how much that costs and how good it is. Attachments: |
