I've been through a lot of Frogs ... they always seem like they're a "must have" in any collection, but after restoring another one, I know I don't want to drive it - I've always found the handling pretty awful & I know I'll flip it within 5 or 10 minutes, the antennas will dig it & catapult it even further and pull the wing off, so I sell it on but then repeat ... I have another one to restore & I'm wondering what i can do to break the cycle this time ![]() I always found the Brat to handle better, I think the weight and aerodynamics slow it down, and the weight makes the suspension work better. The most fun I've had with any ORV chassis was the one I built as a scaler with a Bowler Wildcat body & a 35T motor, partly because of the sheer absurdity ![]()

Cheers Jonny, I’m not feeling the love for the Frog at the minute if I’m honest. I’ve got a Brat ( yet to finish ).
I’ll restore the chassis and see what happens next. Again if I’m being honest I don’t think I’ve got the space to display it. I’m moving most of my collection around as it is. Cheers.

This is a combo post of Look what the Mail man brought me, and What I did today, as it's a few weeks in the making but everything came together today!
This gem is lovingly used and was only missing the ADSPEC GP Tx and Rx, and the top surface stickers. So when I saw the auction and bought it, I went straight to work on finding the proper radio gear to bring this back to stock. I also ordered reproduction stickers from MCI Racing, but left the side wing and side body stickers in place - only adding the missing top surface stickers. Sadly, a couple of the B Parts were damaged during transit from an impact that the small box selected to ship in - could not protect from. I went straight to work replacing those and it's good as used! I thought about new tires but I think I want this model to rest on the shelf with all it's patina, and when I run it I'll use a more roadworthy set like the orange wheel/tire set you'll see if you scroll all the way down. It runs great now and I just love adding this quirky monocoque DF-01 to my collection ![]() IG_tamiyaddiction
