well.. There was more grease inside the gearbox and dirt inside than dirt outside, so it was quite quick to get in this state...It's not perfect, but there is no way I succeed to get it brand new, so it will show some slight marks of use. Like it should be for a car which will never be a shelf queen.

I tried white spirit in a corner, and it is not good for the stickers. I wanted to keep them.
I decided to use WD40, after having tested on one of the broken chassis. it worked without issue. it was not kept long on the chassis, just the time to get the tissue going on to take the dirt off (I use also WD40 on the part of my motorcycle which are ABS without any issue)...

I wrapped up my Herbie build today. Mostly stock except for a full set of bearings, upgraded shocks and the front and rear sway bars. Stock motor makes it plenty fast for me. Paint i s a Tamiya Racing White which is closer to tan than white. Its not for Poly bodies but for an on road car I usually have pretty good luck. I had the privilege of sitting in the original Herbie (and the 66 Batmobile!!!!) as a little boy and I never got over the amazement.

Thats a very nice Herbie. I love that you painted the rims, looks so much better than full chrome. Great work

Thanks Lemsko!! The painted rims do pop better than full chrome. The real Herbie should have a black center but I like them this way.

This one will be a Driveway Queen! LOL! Runs pretty nice
