If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

No real idea here - but the engine hanging way out the back suggests Kyosho to me :)

Ok so i'll give a clue  , at some stage the previous owner fitted a different engine which require him to make the belt drive system  as the motor would normally be direct drive  Jonny gets the first place ribbon for the Brand (Kyosho) :)

I'd say vintage Kyosho Landjump/Landmax? (Not the modern one) - likely to be wrong though as most of the 70s IC looked like that to me! Gearbox looks the wrong way up though, I thought they used to have the engine poking straight out of the back, a-la VW beetle

I thought Kyosho Land Jump at first, but aren't they 4WD?
After some Googling, I reckon Kyosho Rowdy Baja or Racing Baja.

Contining - anyone know what this is:

Also looks like Kyosho to me, but it's electric.

Front end's different on that too.
I'm no expert but I'm fairly sure 4wd wasn't invented on toy cars before the 80s!
-I'll take a flyer here & suggest the Hilux was the first & only because it was supposed to be a scale model, of course there's a huge chance I'm wrong!
Again, no expert but I'm fairly sure the original Landmax or Landjump (Or whatever it was called back then) was rear wheel drive only, rear transaxle type setup with the engine hanging straight out of the back. I really should have a look about...

Yeah, the vintage stuff does resemble some kind of dangerous mechanism you wouldn't want to plop your winky in!
