That was an interesting read Edou!
Makes sense really - RC nitro planes have been about for donkey's years, & who else but the Americans would decide to put an overpowered nitro fuelled aero engine into a car for personal entertainment...
Makes perfect sense for the Italians to have come up with an affordable replica of their iconic car, that the everyday person could own AND drive.
As for Mardave, "Many a true word spoken in jest" about covers it! Typically British, so blinkered at the idea that theirs is best, that the rest of the world has moved on & left them behind...

Yay! got it  it's an HP Texas Wild Baja / HP Porsche 930. From what I have found out so far it was made somewhere in between 65' and 75' ? There are 2 main body shells the buggy and the Porsche but there was also a volvo for the euro market. (look how close the buggy shell is to the Circuit 20  ) anyway still looking formore info but it seems pretty rare and not easy to find.....

Yuck! The Volvo 343 was a horrible car in 1:1 scale. Who would want a model of it?

Maybe just for nostalgic reasons... ;)
What I also find interesting is that the Abarth logo seems to be at the top left of this one :

Why have the buggy box the "ABARTH" logo? It is the performance trade for FIAT ???

I can't imagine they did something to the engine...
Since the Porsche also carries a logo. How cool would that be?
Was this based on a real car?
It's seems to be from around 1976-1979 btw...

Maybe the Abarth logo is to suggest there's been use of peat in the build, similar to 1:1 Fiats?
