B)
I don't think that Abarth worked for Porsche. They didn't need help to have perf cars

I think we had a minor miscommunication there. ;)
Abarth are awesome tuners but old Italian cars are generally crap.
Which is cool if you know what to expect.
Less so if you you're getting into it "blindly".

Hasn't kept me from getting one in the past...

I meant to say that if Abarth had something to do with tuning the one car, Porsche would have done something to the other one 'cause that has their logo on it. Only wishful thinking!
Can't think of another reason why Abarth would be endorsing it so prominently...

Ok, little update with this one, it seems impossible to find body shells for this so I've just had to settle for one that will suit/fit. Just to top it off a new radio box too :cheer:

How about one of the Kamtec 1/8th saloon car shells ?
I think a MK1 Escort shell in rally livery would look cool on that chassis.

Wow nice little resource that is  both the escort and the capri are sweet (couldn't find decals to suit though?) and their abs, nice  Also I checked the specs and the wheel base is spot on 305mm but the front is 20mm narrow and the rear 40mm (wheels would stick out :( )

Most of their shells are available in ABS or lexan.
Trouble with their website is it doesn't list ALL of the bodies they do, I'm guessing they remove the "out of stock" items from the site rather than just listing them "out of stock"

The Escort looks great on a Marauder by the way. I love the capri too, but haven't had a suitable candidate chassis-wise for one yet.

That 1/12th Escort van, my Holiday Scorcher, my Astute, my TL01 Corrado & several others have all been Kamtec shells. I've been trying to convince them to do more ABS crawler/scaler bodies (& accessories), but Landrovers are as far as they've got.
Quite like their Transit vans too, being a fan of the Transit County 4x4

I've got a 1/8th Mardave Stockmaster stock car chassis that I'd quite fancy putting that Escort shell on. Have to sort out how to deal with the stock car bumpers though as I don't want to modify the chassis.

Edit: Yeah Kamtec are definitely short on truck type bodies. I am sure if they did a Hilux or similar it would sell.

I have asked them, but the idea wasn't met with a huge amount of enthusiasm.
I also asked about pickup bodies, flareside 70s/80s stuff, saying that nobody else out there is really doing ABS stuff like that, unless you don't mind paying a fortune for it - that generated 1 email's worth of interest, but I haven't heard anything since.
The Bowler Wildcat shell is probably the most interesting scaley thing they do at the mo
