Salutations from an Ol' Man. first started in 1989 with a Porsche 959 (heaps of spares still) then the ever popular monster beetle. I used to race locally many years ago and did the upkeep of the track - High speed banked oval with a massive grass area in the middle. I have now retired and I was looking at building and teaching the Grand Daughters how to drive the RC cars.
Have the following cars either in my possession or on the way. Tamiya M04 Alfa with many alloy parts - Tamiya M03R Racing Mini with alloy parts Tamiya Porsche 959 Tamiya Neo Falcon - restored Tamiya Stadium Thunder - being restored Tamiya F350 - unbuilt Tamiya F150 - unbuilt Tamiya Midnight Pumkin - unbuilt Tamiya Monster Beetle - being restored Tamiya Blackfoot - being restored Tamiya Super Clodbuster - being restored Associated 10 T - raced in Australian Championships in the early 90's Associated 10 2WD Buggy raced in the Australian Championships Associated 10 4WD Buggy raced in the Australian Championships I'm looking forward to picking the mind of members. I find I am good at building the models but my painting skills leave a lot to be desired, but I will get there. |

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I just picked up several models - most won't need much to bring them up to standard but one will most certainly need it.
Tamiya Stadium Thunder - completed except for shocks and paint - unused. - no radio gear Tamiya King Hauler - complete with bull bar and roof spoiler - 1 or 2 battery use only 9 / 10 - all electrics Tamiya Super Clodbuster - complete running - 8 / 10 - all electrics Tamiya Monster Beetle - complete running - 7 / 10 - all electrics Tamiya Blackfoot - complete - in parts - car grease used in gearbox - 5 / 10 - all electrics Now my questions, until such time as I learn to navigate my way through the system, I need help with the following; What rims / tyres are interchangeable for the Blackfoot, Monster Beetle, Midnight Pumpkin, F350 Can you recommend particular sellers or is that against the rules Do you have a feed back page for forum sellers Australia has limited resources - I am getting stuff from Hong Kong or the USA - any where else good. Cheers Vincenzo - Pictures of vehicles tomorrow |

Hi Vincenzo, you seem to be on a shopping spree already
Regarding your questions: That is of course allowed. You can find the rules HERE . No we, don't, and I'm not sure if we should have one, but I'm open to suggestions. Now let's see those projects -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

As requested, here are some photos. Humourous comments about my building skills is OK, not about my painting ability. I think I do OK for someone with Parkinsons.
[/URL] New and unopened. [/URL] Original 80's MP to be assembled [/URL] Completed - forgot to take from box. [/URL] To be assembled - also spare new shell [/URL] Just need to strip and clean / check it has ball races. [/URL] Goes well but crappy paint job. - need to get another body. [/URL] Forgot to clean the windows - [/URL] Needs a strip / clean / service - maybe a new body [/URL] Strip /clean / service - maybe a new body [/URL] My Associated 4WD &2WD turned out to be 2 Losi 2WD - Super Stock / Modified [/URL] Strip / clean / service - definitely need a new body [/URL] Strip / clean / service - new body awaits [/URL] Attach shocks, paint body - complete [/URL] Box of new rims / tyres three deep - came with buggies [/URL] One of the chargers that came with the buggies [/URL] One of the controllers that came with the buggies [/URL] Self explanatory [/URL] NOS - 40 Mhz [/URL] New / new 72 Mhz [/URL] RC 10T with bash body [/URL] All original white parts were boiled in water and had cloth dye added to harden and change their colour There are three other boxes not yet unpacked. One has all the paint and tools in for both ABS and Polycarbonate, one has all the radios and electrical and the last case has 30 matched battery packs, another battery charger (Tekin I think) and 10 brand new brushed motors ranging from 13 x3 down to 10 x2, 4 new unused 12 13 and 14 wind commuters and three used motors (modified). That is it, enough to keep me occupied over Easter. Cheers Vincenzo
