I was just reacting to your topic! Another Tamiyafreak (Tamiyagek in Dutch) also! ![]() Best dichtbij idd. Sterker nog - mijn eerste auto (Grasshopper back in '86) komt bij Quartel vandaan! And I even think it's possible that I have a purple Hopper here that came from you through alazaroski... ![]() |

If it's up to me, it will be a very good life too! At least the body will get a graceful reconstruction. For the chassis I have a few (vintage) options. Two of them have a piece broken off. I was thinking about using one of these and convert it into a double wishbone. There's a vintage Futaba kit that can make this happen! Common problem with these lovely Hoppers is that they tend to flip around and let the body eat tarmac accordingly. ![]() My other Hopper has a different upgrade. The front suspension is Super Hornet (wider stance and oil shocks) and the rear is vintage Hornet (aluminium oil shocks) so this has mostly solved that problem : But I like the Futaba double wishbone a lot. So many plans - but first things first... ![]() This guy has done an awesome job on the front suspension : Source : Tamiyaclub |

I think there are at least some pics on Tamiyaclub of a similar project but I'll probably have to figure most of it out myself. The guys at CRP were helpful also when I asked about the kit. Gave me some pictures. So it's gonna be a small Rc adventure! ![]() But the bigger the satisfaction when it does work out... |
