I was in the UK last year and picked up a set of Draper small screw drivers, both + and -.
The + seem to be too pointed and the bottom out on the screw head recess before the the flats contact well on the screw heard. I often get better results using a much bigger screwdriver (feels in appropriately bigger) or a flat. Any one else find this? Are Tamiya using slightly different screw heads? Are Tamiya screw drivers required? Hay Ewe |

I (now) have a Tamiya screwdriver that fits great... had similar issues before as well.
Thing is, they are actually not normal Phillips heads but JIS (Japanese Industry Standard). It is slightly different. You'll have a lot better results with a driver that matches this. |

I need to get my screwdrivers sorted out - I've managed to lose a bunch recently, and I just had a closer look at the one I've been using recently for RC duties ... it's a #1 Pozidriv
Just what point are the Tamiya Screwdrivers #74007 "(+) Screwdriver No.1-M" and #74006 "(+) Screwdriver No.2-L"? I think they are actually JIS, but there's no real information on that, and most sellers seem to list them as Phillips |
