Excellent work on the cleaning and polishing.
Have you started on straightening the bent/twisted parts. That might be a challenge (?) -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

Smaessen, Don't use the dremel to polish or you have to use a very low speed and very fine sanding

To polish the metal parts all I did was give them a good going over with a Brillo pad and then dry them and finally give them a polish with AutoGlym Super Resin Polish. I repeated the polishing a few times until happy with finish.
I managed to straighten out the twisted bits with the paving slabs I havein in the garden, I put the bits on one slab and then stacked 9 more on top (which was a workout I hadn't planned on). After I recovered I moved them all off again and the slabs had done the trick Hopefully I will start putting it back together tomorrow. |

Here is the nearly finished car, it needs some new tyres as the ones on it are split beyond saving and pretty much held together by superglue. The body I will be giving a gentle sanding and repaint at some point soon and I need to find a driver too, and a new rear wing. But overall I am pretty happy with how it looks especially considering the age of the car.
