Finally managed to finish sanding the parts.
I had to re-fill some imperfections and restart the whole process. Anyway, here a few pictures of the latest body progress.

I started primering all the body parts and after a few days i applied the first coat of TS-5

Body primered (underside)

It took a while to do this few steps...mainly due to weather conditions.
In the meantime i start working on the chassis, but i don't want to mix body posts with chassis (mechanical) as this will confuse everyone that reads this post.

The next steps will be painting the details, apply the decals and apply several coats of mat laque.

Thank you for looking

Hello,
This project isn't progressing as fast as i would like to, but i managed to work on the rims this weekend.
I started removing the old paint with brake fluid and then started the filling and sanding....

This is how the rims looked like when i got them :

Those are the rims after a bit TLC....they already look a bit better

And now after sanding the filler

Next step will be to sand the inner part of the rims and apply the first coat of primer before painting them in white.

Thanks

Thank you Stevieg....this motivates me to accelerate the restore process :y:

In parallel to the resto, i'm also working on a detailed description of the main differences between SWB and LWB. I know that such documents already exists but i want to do it with pictures and installation manual pictures. Here a small preview of it. I started this document yesterday...so more will be added really soon

Hi,

I started with the white primer application, a few coats on the rims and 2 or 3 on the front bumper after i sanded it.

Front bumper before sanding it :

And after i sanding, it's ready for painting....

Here the rims + the front bumper, all with 3 coats of white Tamiya primer

And finally the rims painted in white....

I also finished painting the details on the body...The only thing i still have to finish is Wild Willy

The tires, wich are in a really condition, are waiting for their lettering once i assembled the rims.
Thanks for looking and being patient :silly: :silly:
