HIPS is styrene and many bodies have been made from styrene without damage from heat and sun.

I have built 3 trailers from styrene and they are still as good as day one

I just read that PLA has a glass transition temperature of 60C, aka becomes rubbery or melting.
So PLA is not good for something that is exposed in the sun or heat.
Black PLA tolerate less heat than white filament...

yeh Richard, it's not the best for parts that get hot or are exposed to the sun. But it's not too bad. It's made from corn starch. I have some pet-g which is better and I've just got some nylon which is great for parts but I'm not sure if my printer will be able to do the temps needed to melt it. I will be experimenting soon.

Got the Printer now for 2 weeks, looks like i will have to build an enclosure for printing larger parts. The small parts turned out fine now, but i am still tweaking with settings.

Thx Jonny!
I had to build a new rear steering knuckle for my M-02 chassis. Since i noticed that tire wear was excessive in the rear, but only on the outside half of the tires i added 2° negative camber to the part. Its freely downloadable at Cults3d.
Steering knuckle, rear, M-02
